Made these two simple skirts for Jazzy.. I got the tutorial via ilikepapercutting. Wanna make more but my kid is not a skirt person.... Hmmmmm...

She is loving this skirt becouse it's Disney Princess!!

Homemade Pizza and Apple Cinnamon Rolls for Earth Hour 2011 (Updated)

Yesterday was my baking day! Managed to make Apple Cinnamon Rolls in the afternoon and Pizza for Dinner... Thanks Mummy (Mother-In-Law) for handing over your breadmaker... I'm using it every week!

Apple Cinnamon Rolls

My friend wanted to try the rolls.. so I'm adding the recipe.. It's from my Amy Beh's Cook Book

Apple Cinnamon Rolls

Ingredients

Filling
• 1 Granny Smith apple
• 15g castor sugar
• 1/4 tsp salt
• 15g butter
Dough
• 240g high protein flour
• 40g plain flour
• 2 tbsp milk powder
• 1/2 tsp bread improver
• 9g instant dried yeast
• 50g castor sugar
• 20g butter
• 85g lukewarm water
• 85g lukewarm fresh milk
• 20g melted butter for brushing
• Cinnamon powder and icing sugar combined
Glaze (beaten)
• 1 egg yolk
• 1 tbsp water

Method

For the filling: Skin, core and dice apple. Melt butter in a non-stick pan. Add the apple, sugar and salt. Cook for 4?5 minutes until apple turns
slightly soft. Puree the cooked apple in a food processor.
For the dough: Sift flour into a large mixing bowl. Stir in milk powder, bread improver, sugar and yeast. Make a well in the centre and pour in combined milk mixture and butter. Mix to form a soft dough.
Knead the dough for about 10?12 minutes until no longer sticky to the touch. Place dough in a covered bowl to rise until double in bulk. This takes about 30?40 minutes.
Punch down the dough. Roll out on a floured surface into a flat rectangular sheet. Brush lightly with melted butter. Sprinkle with combined cinnamon powder and icing sugar. Apply a light layer of apple puree. Sprinkle with a little more of the cinnamon powder mixture. Roll up tightly.
Cut into 6 equal portions. Place each portion into an aluminium tart casing / muffin paper casing. Leave aside to prove until double in size.
Bake in a preheated oven at 190°C for about 15 minutes. Immediately after baking, brush the rolls with beaten egg yolk and sprinkle lightly with icing sugar.
p/s: Wait til the rolls cool then you can tear off the paper casing easily.

I literally can sleep by the toilet bowl... Been having diarrhea since yesterday morning... Had fever by noon then I took a nap... It started again (diarrhea) after dinner... I couldn't sleep.. then again I rushed to toilet... Popped in imodium around 2 am..  Finally, I could sleep.. Got up and get dressed for school... Before stepping out.. another trip to toilet but this time I vomited... Decided to visit my GP.... Took 5 types of medicine and a urine test...
Now I'm in between making porridge and blogging... Have to see my GP again by noon to make sure I don't throw up or diarrhea... Hopefully I won't get admitted... Tired of frequenting the hospital..... What I need now is 100Plus and the bed....

FESS Surgery

Appu went for a Functional Endoscopic Sinus Surgery (FESS) on Thursday to correct his sinusitis.. Wanna know more about FESS? Click here. Doctor spent 2.5 hours to remove the puss and polyps. Normally the surgery takes only 1.5 hours but since my hubby been keeping the stuff for about 10 years without getting any treatment, Dr. Lim need an hour extra to remove the polyps...  He is recovering well... Hopefully can be discharged by tomorrow...  Wooohooo....

Before he's taken to the OT... Darth Vader kononnya....

A day after the surgery.. Blood dripping... After the Doc pulled out the gauze..

1/10 of the polyps...

String of Bad News.....

One after another.... Hubby is hospitalized for mild pneumonia and having a surgery later to fix his sinusitis..Sigh...  I took Jazzy to her pediatrician yesterday as her cough didn't subside after 2 weeks.. Doc said she might have asthma.... Another sigh...

I'm just not in a mood to blog...for now...
